Tips from a ballerina

Hair removal is common among athletes, especially in dancing, gymnastics, and swimming. Meticulous grooming has become the norm for dancers, from ballet to hip hop and everything in between. Social media means people are seen more than ever before. As such, no detail is too small when you are on stage. As an example, hair must be kept neatly out of your face, and a bun has long been the hallmark of ballet. Grooming is as much about how it makes you feel as how it looks. Most dancers will use a permanent hair removal method such as electrolysis for upper leg, lower leg, bikini line, arms and/or underarms. When you are on stage in front of an audience, or being lifted by your partner, the last thing you want to worry about is whether you remembered to shave.
